Senior Conveyancing Assistant

Location: Flitwick

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Hours: Mon - Thurs 9.00am - 5.30pm, Fri 9.00am - 5pm

We're recruiting on behalf of a respected and well-established legal practice for a Senior Legal Secretary with strong experience in residential and commercial property transactions. This role supports a team of solicitors and ensures smooth, compliant handling of property matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to conveyancing solicitors
Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
Handle Land Registry, SDLT, and mortgage documentation
Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders
Maintain accurate client files and ensure regulatory compliance
Process billing and financial transactions related to conveyancing
Support junior secretaries and contribute to training as needed
Requirements:

3+ years' experience as a Legal Secretary in conveyancing
Strong knowledge of residential and commercial property transactions
Proficient in MS Office and case management software
Excellent typing, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with AML, GDPR, and compliance standards
