Embedded Software Consultant - Medical Devices
My client is a leading design consultancy in the Cambridge area currently looking to bring in an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a background in medical devices, health care, medtech or wearable development.
You'll be working at their picturesque offices near the centre of Cambridge and benefit from excellent salaries and benefits in a work environment that encourages creativity in high level problem solving.
Day to day work will include design and development of innovative products for the health care industry, identifying credible and creative solutions for real world problems, embedded software and systems development for commercial grade medical products and participating in cross discipline projects (such as brainstorms, design development and design testing).
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate a methodical and practical ability to solving problems. You'll likely be analytical by nature and be comfortable gathering and analysing data and drawing measured conclusions. You'll be a good team player and thrive in an environment where a number of experts can all bring different technical insights to the table.
Key skills and experience:
Significant experience engineering embedded systems for medical devices
Significant experience in developing realtime C/C++ software for embedded systems
Experience of system architecture development
Familiarity with medical development or safety critical development standards
Experience of integrating complex systems
An appreciation of electronics hardware
A good degree in software, systems or electronic engineering
