SEN QTS Urgently needed- Tamworth.
We are currently looking for a Primary QTS to join the team in a Tamworth SEND school, with brilliant opportunity for a permanent position. We are seeking an adaptable team player with a positive mentality to fit into the school's day to day routine seamlessly.
The school assists a range of needs including autism, MLD/SLD, PMLD and physical difficulties. Previous experience with students with these support needs is critical. Experience working with students in a nonverbal capacity is beneficial, as well as experience working with MAKATON training and manual handling experience.
We would require candidate to identify as having strong classroom management skills, a knowledge of the curriculum and the flexibility to adapt it a range of teaching scenarios from trips, outdoor play classroom leadership and leading a team of LSA s with supporting the students effectively. The role would be working in an environment with a high staff to student ratio. The school day starts at 9:00am and ends at 3:30pm.
You will need:
• A Degree level in teaching/ PGCE or equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience in the classroom
• A passion to work with SEND students
Other beneficial training or courses would include manual handling training or equivalent, a knowledge of First Aid and in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety within a classroom environment, the school also requires staff to take part in personal care when needed.
