Cherry Grading Machine Operative - Seasonal Role-  Location: Ledbury/Newent 
Full-Time | Fixed-Term - 48 hours per week 
Pay - £12.50 - £14.50 per hour 
Start Date - Immediate 

Are you ready to be part of an exciting and fast-paced team during the busy cherry season? We're looking for motivated and proactive individuals to join our client as Cherry Grading Machine Operatives.
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining cherry grading machinery, ensuring the high quality and safety standards are met. You'll play a key part in the smooth running of the packhouse operations, working closely with various departments to deliver top-quality products to our customers.

What You'll Be Doing:
Setting up and operating grading and packing machinery
Monitoring machine output and maintaining product quality
Carrying out minor troubleshooting and quick label changes
Keeping work areas clean, safe, and hazard-free
Supporting and training junior machine operatives
Collaborating with teams across operations, QC, and dispatch
Recording downtime and machine performance data accuratelyWhat We're Looking For:
Proven experience operating machinery, ideally in a fresh produce packing environment.
Previous experience working in a packhouse as a Line Leader or Machine Operator is highly desirable.
Competent in machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance tasks, including cleaning and maintaining the machinery to hygiene and safety standards.
Strong practical skills, with a high level of common sense and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to multitask and stay organised in a busy environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Certified (or willing to be trained) to operate a metal detectorWhy Join Us?
