As part of the growth and development of our Counselling provision, we are looking for two highly motivated teachers to join us in delivering our CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. You will also have a supervision qualification or 1 years’ experience of offering counselling supervision.
You will be a Counselling Psychologist, therapist or supervisor, who is a member of a UK professional counselling body ( BACP ), engaging in regular professional development in line with ethical guidelines of the professional organisation.
Ideally, you will have a teaching qualification and 2 years’ experience of teaching and assessing at levels 2 and 3 or above and familiar with our core theoretical models, person-centred and existential, would be an advantage.
The post holder will contribute in delivering teaching on professional counselling courses and working collaboratively to continue to develop the delivery of a well- established and successful counselling training team.
In addition, we are also recruiting a qualified counsellor to join the team as a co-tutor with similar qualifications to the above. However, a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, as long as you have the willingness to work towards one.
You will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
Courses are taught and assessed through a variety of interactive activities, including personal development groups as such experience of group facilitation would be helpful in this part of the job.
Both positions are part time offering 6.5 hours per week, up to 33 weeks.
