Site Engineer - Nights

Based in Cheltenham

6 month contract

Night shift

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Engineer to work on a 6 month contract. The client is requiring a Site Engineer on a highways project, the company is a market leader and involved with major projects across the United Kingdom. This will be a great opportunity to gain experience with a Tier 1 contractor and develop yourself further.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure all permits ready for site work to commence
Ensure the Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed as soon as the checks can be completed
Setting out and surveying
Managing subcontractors
Manage distribution of information
Write and Approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughout the works
Liaising with the client and other key stakeholders
Checking design drawings and reporting any issues or inconsistencies
Liaise with other Sections to ensure a smooth flow of work.
Regularly review procedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible.
REQUIREMENTS:

Worked on heavy civil projects
Highway experience is beneficial
Previous Tier 1 contractor experience
CSCS Card
Confident at setting out on site and producing QA reports, completing engineering documentation
Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equal experience
