Credit Controller / Sales Ledger Clerk

We’re looking for an experienced Credit Control / Sales Ledger Clarke to join our very exciting and rapidly expanding company, based in Knutsford, Cheshire.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

As a Credit Control / Sales Ledger Clarke, your responsibilities will be:  

-        Looking after bank transfer/stripe sales, most of which have the invoices generated automatically.

-        Chase overdue payments.

-        Produce an aged debt report.

-        Resolve customer queries and liaise with customers concerning payments received resolving any issues with payments.

-        Document cash received and outstanding debtor figures.

-        Allocate payments received against pre-paid invoices accurately and promptly.

-        Ensure that all paperwork relating to customers is in place as required and ensure that all filing of customer correspondence is maintained on a regular basis.

-        Updating system information with figures.

-        Process daily exports where required.-

-        Produce a monthly cash flow forecast.

-        Working closely with other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.

-        Using company IT systems effectively and accurately maintaining company records.

-        Identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

-        Maintain necessary spreadsheet information on a regular basis and for monthly presentation. 

Desired Skills and Experience

-        Strong Excel skills

-        Must be computer literate and have excellent keyboard and data entry skills

-        Excellent telephone manner

-        Some knowledge using accounting software Xero.

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in sales ledger and credit control and be able to work quickly and accurately.

It is essential that you are a good communicator and willing to take responsibility for your ledger. This is an excellent role for an experienced Credit Control / Sales Ledger Clerk looking for autonomy.
