Fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to step up into a diverse Category Manager. You will be responsible for analysing customer data and shopper insight in order to establish new opportunities across multiple categories. Additionally, you will identify new strategic opportunities for categories and present to key stakeholders across the business.

Client Details

My client is a global FMCG business looking to continue their double-digit growth in the UK. They possess a wide portfolio of food brands and are seen as one of the up-and-coming brands in the FMCG space. Based in Surrey, they are easily commutable from Central London. They adopt a collaborative working manner, placing emphasis on developing their employers.

Description

Category Management:

-Responsible for developing and leveraging customer relationships to maximise their range

-In collaboration with Marketing and Sales departments, analyse and interpret trends to identify category growth, opportunities and risks and build category recommendations

-Present category recommendations with logical, concise and clear actions to retailers

-Provide compelling recommendation for all retailer range reviews

Panel/Data Source Interface:

-Key point of contact with all providers of market data

-Ensures the robustness and efficiency of the tools

-Produces all market analyses required by the Group

-Translates market data into Trade objectives and monitors them

Trade Marketing:

-Support translating Marketing Plans into actionable retailer tailored Trade Plans

-Evaluate the effectiveness of plans to establish key learnings and future opportunities

Profile

Key skills and experience required for success in this role:

-Minimum 4 years' experience in FMCG with a similar position (category manager, sales/panel analyst)

-Strong understanding of UK grocers

-Comfortable with multiple data sets and agile at generating insights from information

-Demonstrable experience of IRI, Nielsen and/or Kantar

-Strong communication and influencing skills

Job Offer

£40,000 - £45,000 base salary plus benefits
