Are you fluent in Polish and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs?

We are recruiting a Polish-speaking Residential Support Worker to join a specialist SEN school with on-site residential provision in Preston. The school supports children and young people aged 8 to 19 with Autism, PMLD, SEMH, and communication difficulties, some of whom are non-verbal.

This is a hands-on, rewarding role in a supportive and well-resourced setting. You'll be working closely with students in both the home and school, helping them to build independence, feel safe, and thrive emotionally and socially.

Role Highlights:

Support pupils in their daily routines, both in the home and education setting

Build trusted relationships using Polish language skills to support Polish-speaking pupils

Support with personal care, communication needs, and behaviour

Lead and engage in fun, purposeful activities (arts, sensory play, outdoor games)

Work collaboratively with care staff, teachers, and therapists

Maintain clear, accurate records and support individual care plans

What They're Looking For:

Fluent in Polish (essential) - especially to support current Polish-speaking pupils

Warm, proactive, and resilient - able to think on your feet and take initiative

Experience with Autism, PMLD, or SEMH is desirable but not essential

Comfortable with personal care and supporting behaviour

Willingness to work full-time shifts (7am-10pm x2 + 10hr shift) or part-time (flexible between 10-30 hours)

Driving licence is a bonus
