The role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated engineer who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and travelling to client sites across the UK. In this role, you'll be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of complex mechanical and electrical systems, playing a key role in delivering high-performance solutions for a wide range of industrial clients. With a strong reputation for quality and technical excellence, this company offers a dynamic and supportive environment, ongoing training and development, and the chance to work on exciting, high-tech engineering projects.

Key tasks:

Install and commission overhead crane systems, ensuring accurate setup and testing.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability.
Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving issues with minimal disruption.
Recommend and implement system upgrades or modifications to improve performance and safety.
Provide technical advice and build strong client relationships through excellent service.
Keep clear records of maintenance, repairs, and service reports.
Adhere to all health and safety standards and promote safe operating practices.

Key skills:

A recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead crane systems.
Solid understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, with hands-on technical proficiency.
Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
