Field Technician – Blackpool (Full Training Provided, Site Based)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Field Technician to join our well-established client based in Blackpool on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Field Technician who enjoys site-based work, is confident dealing with people face to face, and is looking to build a long-term career as a Field Technician within a growing technical business.

No previous surveying or technical experience is required, as full training is provided.

Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 09:00 – 17:00

Salary

• £26,000 – £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Day-to-Day Duties

• Attending customer and construction sites to capture building and spatial data using specialist equipment
• Assisting with the setup, deployment, and maintenance of technical and environmental sensors
• Uploading, processing, and checking captured data
• Carrying out basic quality checks before data is passed to technical teams
• Preparing information for handover to BIM and modelling teams
• Following all health & safety, GDPR, and company procedures
• Liaising confidently with site staff, clients, and internal teams
• Maintaining equipment and reporting any faults or issues

Essential Skills

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Confidence communicating face to face in a site-based environment
• Experience in a site-based, field, construction, warehouse, technical, or hands-on role, or a strong interest in this type of work
• Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
• Strong attention to detail with an organised approach
• Practical, hands-on mindset
• Willingness to travel regularly to sites

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to construction, engineering, surveying, or technical environments
• Experience using tools, equipment, or technical systems
• Basic understanding of technical drawings, CAD, or BIM
