Salary: From £31,000 per annum
Hours: 36 hours per week across 5 days (shifts between 8:50am - 6:00pm, max 7 hours per day)

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Baby Room Leader to join our friendly nursery team in Dalston. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic early years professional to take on a key leadership role in a well-established and supportive environment.

About the Role:

As the Baby Room Leader, you will take overall responsibility for the daily running of the baby room, leading a small, dedicated team in delivering exceptional care for children aged 3 to 18 months. You'll ensure a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment where every baby can flourish and feel secure.

Key Responsibilities as Baby Room Leader:

* Lead and inspire the baby room team to provide high-quality care and education

* Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework

* Build strong, trusting relationships with babies, parents, and carers

* Monitor each baby's progress through observations and developmental records

* Maintain a clean, calm, and well-organised baby room environment

* Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed

* Provide guidance, support, and training to baby room staff

* Collaborate with nursery leadership to uphold and exceed care standards

What We're Looking For in a Baby Room Leader:

* Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare

* Previous experience working with babies in a nursery environment

* Proven ability to lead a team within an early years setting

* A nurturing and attentive approach to baby care

* Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development for under-twos

* Excellent communication and organisational skills
