A leading name in the roofing systems industry, is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join their fast-paced and dynamic team based in Ipswich.

Role Overview:

The successful candidates will be responsible for leading a small team of Purchasing Coordinators, providing daily guidance, training, and support. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in purchasing and a passion for team development and supplier relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a team of Purchasing Coordinators
• Deliver structured training and upskilling to enhance team capability
• Drive team engagement through coaching, mentoring, and regular 1-2-1s
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers
• Manage escalated purchasing issues and implement improvement plans
• Present key purchasing data and lead pricing reviews
• Champion continuous improvement across purchasing processes

Candidate Profile:

• Extensive purchasing experience with strong technical systems knowledge
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong people management, coaching, and influencing skills
• Confident in engaging with suppliers, clients, and stakeholders
• Familiar with supply chain procedures and ERP systems
• CIPS Level 4 qualification (or willingness to undertake)
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
