Ambitek are seeking for a Bench Fitter for our client a leading UK-based manufacturer specializing in high-precision engineered components for sectors such as oil & gas, power generation, nuclear, and aerospace. Operating from our state-of-the-art facility in Coventry, we deliver high-quality, bespoke machining solutions backed by decades of experience and cutting-edge technology.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Fitter to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for precision fitting, assembly, and finishing of components to exacting standards, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform precision fitting, deburring, grinding, and hand-finishing of machined components.

Interpret detailed engineering drawings and follow work instructions accurately.

Assemble mechanical parts using appropriate hand tools, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Carry out inspections using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.

Liaise with CNC machinists and quality control to resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Work to tight tolerances with a focus on accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with MNB Precision's safety standards.

Report defects or equipment issues to supervisory staff promptly.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bench Fitter, Toolmaker, or similar role within a precision engineering environment.

Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and tolerances.

Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection processes.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred but not essential).

Hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00

£13.00 - £15.00 per hour dependant on experience
