SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be working with a forward-thinking and nurturing independent secondary school in Barnet, who are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This role will involve supporting two Year 7 pupils with high-functioning Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them to thrive academically and socially during their transition into secondary school.

The Role at a Glance:

• Provide 1:2 support across lessons, helping pupils remain focused and engaged.
• Support with task initiation, concentration, and completion of work.
• Encourage independence while offering reassurance and structure where needed.
• Work alongside class teachers and the SENCO to implement and refine support strategies.
• Monitor and share progress to inform future learning plans.

About You:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with ASC (in secondary or upper KS2 preferred).
• Strong understanding of strategies to support focus, organisation, and learning.
• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to building positive relationships.
• Confident communicator with excellent organisation skills.
• Able to take initiative while following direction from teaching staff.
• Enthusiastic about inclusive education and supporting neurodiverse learners.
