Our client a large FM company operating across the UK has an exciting new opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join them. This role has been created following a number of acquisitions to support the Chief Commercial Officer in driving commercial discipline, margin protection and risk management across the group. As the Commercial Manager you’ll report directly into the CCO and this hybrid position can work from a number of UK locations.
Job Purpose:
Owns the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring robust, compliant and commercially sound customer and supplier agreements. Leads supply chain management and optimisation, driving cost efficiency, performance and scalability across all divisions. Provides commercial support to sales and operations, ensuring pricing discipline and contract structures align with margin objectives. Delivers insight and reporting on commercial performance, risks and cost drivers, and supports M&A integration to ensure alignment of contracts, suppliers and commercial processes across the platform. Supports the CCO in maintaining strong commercial discipline across the group, ensuring consistent application of commercial policies, processes and controls to protect margin and reduce risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management & Administration: Owns the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including review, negotiation support, execution, compliance and ongoing management of customer and supplier contracts.
- Commercial Risk Management: Identifies, manages and mitigates commercial risks across contracts, pricing, service delivery and supplier arrangements, ensuring alignment with legal, financial and operational requirements.
- Supply Chain Management & Optimisation: Owns and manages the group supply chain, including supplier selection, onboarding, performance management and cost optimisation.
- Supplier Performance & Cost Control: Drives supplier performance, service quality and cost efficiency, supporting margin improvement through effective procurement, negotiation and supplier management.
- Commercial Support to Sales & Operations: Works closely with sales, operations and divisional teams to support contract structuring, pricing input and commercial terms, ensuring deals are commercially sound and aligned to margin objectives.
- Pricing & Margin Support: Supports the CCO and CFO in enforcing pricing discipline and margin guardrails, ensuring contracts and supplier arrangements contribute to profitable growth.
- Commercial Reporting & Insight: Provides reporting and insight on contract performance, supplier costs, commercial risks and margin drivers, supporting decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement & Standardisation: Develops and implements standardised commercial processes, templates and best practices across the group to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability.
- M&A Commercial Support & Integration: Supports due diligence and integration of acquisitions from a commercial and contractual perspective, ensuring alignment of contracts, suppliers and commercial processes post-acquisition.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manages the commercial administration function, ensuring high standards of contract administration, data quality and process compliance.
This role is offered at £50,000pa with a £4,200 car allowance and paid for mileage. You’ll receive 25 days annual leave and work in a Hybrid model.
