SEN Teaching Assistant - PMLD/SLD (Croydon and surrounding)
We're recruiting a dedicated TA to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities and Severe Learning Difficulties at a variety of specialist schools in Croydon.

Role: Supply - Full-time / part time
Pay: £90 - £95 per day
Start: ASAP

Sensory learning & communication support
Working with a skilled SEND team
Personal care & mobility support (training provided)
Use of non-verbal communication as a TA
Working with communication aids (PECS, symbols, switches)
Clear, consistent communication with pupils and staff
Active listening and interpretation of subtle cues as a 1-2-1 TAYou Will Need:

Experience supporting people with PMLD, SLD or complex needs (school, care, SEN, or residential backgrounds all considered)
A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to undertake personal care and manual handling
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)This would also suit candidates who have worked with people with disabilities, speech and language difficulties, undertaken medical or healthcare support roles or as a support or residential care worker.
