The Heart of the Role

Are you a visionary leader in social care looking to make a profound impact on the lives of children in care? We are an independent fostering agency dedicated to "Quality over Quantity." We are looking for a Registered Manager who is as passionate about therapeutic practice as they are about regulatory excellence.

As the Registered Manager, you will be the CQC/Ofsted focal point, ensuring our foster parents are supported, our staff are inspired, most importantly our children are thriving in safe, loving homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Leadership: Act as the Registered Manager in accordance with the Care Standards Act 2000, ensuring full compliance with Fostering Services Regulations and National Minimum Standards.

  • Strategic Growth: Drive the development of the agency while maintaining a "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted rating.

  • Team Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Supervising Social Workers and support staff, fostering a culture of reflective practice.

  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the recruitment, assessment, and training of foster carers, ensuring the "matching" process is robust and child-centred.

  • Safeguarding: Act as the lead for safeguarding, ensuring that all children are protected and that risks are managed with clinical precision.

The Ideal Candidate

We need someone who knows the "books" but leads with the "heart."

  • Qualified: You must hold a Social Work England registration and a Degree in Social Work (or equivalent).

  • Experienced: Proven experience in a management role within a Fostering setting (IFA or Local Authority).

  • Expert Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Fostering Services Regulations 2011 and the Children Act 1989.

  • Driver: Full UK driving license is essential for visiting our community of carers.
