You don’t need to come from a customs background — experience is desirable, but not essential. What matters most is your ability to manage and inspire a team, handle disciplinaries and appraisals confidently, and bring a hands-on, supportive leadership style.This is a people-first leadership role. You’ll be given the autonomy to manage, develop, and guide your team, ensuring quality and performance while maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment.Duties

• Leading and developing a team of Customs Declarants
• Managing people confidently and fairly — handling disciplinaries, appraisals, and day-to-day support
• Ensuring customs processes are compliant and timeframes are met
• Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of accuracy and service
• Liaising with internal departments and international partners

The Candidate

• A proven track record in team leadership or supervisory roles
• Experience within logistics, transport, or warehouse operations (essential)
• Confident handling performance management, appraisals, and staff development
• Customs experience is desirable but not essential — full training can be provided
• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach
• Calm under pressure and solution-focused
