Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Area and Stock Conditions Surveyor within the Regulation & Technical Team in Wiltshire, UK. This ongoing locum position offers flexible working with both part-time and full-time options available.

As part of the Asset Maintenance Team, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the condition of the Council's Housing Revenue Account (HRA) housing stock. The role focuses on delivering high-quality stock condition surveys, ensuring compliance with housing standards, and supporting asset management programmes that enhance the safety, efficiency, and quality of housing assets.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct comprehensive stock condition surveys to ensure compliance with statutory housing standards, including the Decent Homes Standard and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Area Surveyors and asset management colleagues.

  • Lead projects related to stock condition assessments, regulatory compliance, and asset improvement programmes.

  • Deliver expert advice on building pathology, diagnosing defects and implementing effective maintenance solutions.

  • Support initiatives focused on energy efficiency and environmental performance improvements across housing assets.

  • Prepare technical specifications and documentation, managing adaptation works from planning through to completion.

  • Lead the scoping, specification, procurement, and delivery of Asset Management contracts, including planned maintenance and energy efficiency
