This long-term position is ideal for a confident practitioner with a passion for inspiring students across subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies.

You will be joining a supportive department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Humanities across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the school’s curriculum and schemes of work.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback that supports achievement and development.
• Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school activities.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Maintain accurate records and support students’ pastoral needs where required.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Humanities subjects within a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
