Prepares and cooks all meals ordered by our restaurant, banquet events and room service guests according to standards and procedures set forth by Brand and Company. Also, assists in preparation of special menus. The objective is to cook and prepare meals for guests in such a manner as to create repetitive business while keeping costs in line with budget in order to make a profit.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Opening equipment start up and preparation of foods for buffets and line. Check condition of kitchen and restock where necessary. Cook and prepare all meals according to customer specifications. Assist in preparation of luncheon buffet and backups. Assist in preparation and planning of special menu items or banquet functions. Stock reach-in coolers and freezers making sure adequate supplies are available and needs are posted to order. Keep work area and equipment clean, neat and in good working order at all times and inform Supervisor or Engineering when equipment needs repair. Assist in general cleanup duties of kitchen as well as shutdown cleanup. Be aware of Serv-Safe Standards and assist in achieving health inspection grade of (A). Achieve annual goals as outlined with regards to food quality, timeliness and service scores. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
