A specialist SEN school in the Chaldon area is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team. This setting supports children and young people with Autism (ASD), SEMH needs, and additional learning differences, providing a highly nurturing and structured environment.

• Deliver engaging and accessible KS3–KS4 Science lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, anxiety, and SEMH.
• Plan and assess effectively, ensuring progress for pupils working at different levels.
• Work collaboratively with a supportive multidisciplinary team including therapists and specialist support staff.
• Foster positive relationships and promote emotional regulation and independence in the classroom.
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives, enrichment activities, and a culture of high expectations.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
• Strong subject knowledge across General Science.
• Experience teaching in SEN or mainstream with exposure to complex needs (ASD/SEMH preferred).
• A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach.
• Excellent behaviour management skills using trauma-informed and positive support strategies.
• A passion for making Science engaging and meaningful for all learners.
