My client, a successful manufacturing and distribution company, is looking to recruit an Export controller / export coordinator /export administrator for their modern site based near Melksham, Wiltshire.
 
The successful persons main role will be to manage work flows in the shipping and distribution department to ensure the transport and delivery of customer orders to UK  and all locations overseas is undertaken accurately, cost effectively and in a timely way with the correct documentation
 
Main Tasks will include:
·Managing daily workloads to ensure delivery of orders to clients in UK and abroad required.
·Undertake the research and planning for distribution to any new destinations in order to ensure all legal requirements are met and transport arranged in most cost-effective way.
·Work with the Technical Department to ensure that the company complies with new or changing country requirements adding any new documents to standard processes.
·Prepare timely applications for each job file in liaison with DEFRA, RPA, Chamber of Commerce as appropriate ensuring appropriate paperwork and accurate records
·Determine the most suitable transport for orders, across UK and abroad, negotiating, arranging and booking in the most cost-effective way (haulage, airfreight, sea freight)
·Liaise with suppliers regards product weights and delivery dates, adding to the order on file maker for provision to vet and Customs and Excise.
·Upload onto the Customs and Excise system details of vessel, booking references, loading port and weight for each order in line with Customs and Excise requirements.
·Prepare a pack of final documents for all importing customers.
 
Key Skills required for the successful candidate:
·Ideally have export documentation experience from a manufacturing background
·Shipping and haulage distribution experience helpful
·Must have excellent IT and communication skills
· Ideally the client is after a person fully experienced in export however would consider a candidate with a similar background and can demonstrate excellent attention to detail
 
This is a Monday to Friday role 8.30am-5pm, offering a competitive salary (depending on experience) and good benefits inc. pension and lifecare.  This role is commutable from Trowbridge, Devizes, Chippenham, Calne and may suit a candidate that has previously worked as an export clerk, logistics controller, logistics administrator, freight forwarder, shipping clerk.
