Sphere is partnering with a regionally established and well-respected groundworks and civil engineering contractor to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to support multiple live sites across Bristol, Swindon, and the M4/M5 corridor.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business with a strong order book, delivering high-quality groundworks and infrastructure packages for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

The Role:

As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting and guiding site teams to ensure full compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. You'll be responsible for monitoring site activities, advising on best practices, and promoting a proactive H&S culture across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks

*

Supporting the development and review of RAMS and safety documentation

*

Advising project and site managers on HSE matters and legislative requirements

*

Investigating incidents and implementing corrective and preventative actions

*

Assisting with workforce inductions and ongoing H&S training

*

Championing a positive safety culture across all levels of the business

The Ideal Candidate:

*

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) - essential

*

Experience in a health & safety role within the civils or groundworks sector

*

Good understanding of CDM Regulations and construction site practices

*

Able to build strong relationships with site teams and external stakeholders

*

Full UK driving licence - regular travel between sites is required
