Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge? The role of Maintenance Engineer is varied, hands-on, and rewarding. You’ll work across planned preventative maintenance, urgent breakdowns, and improvement projects, covering a wide range of systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and automated machinery. This is an excellent opening for a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys problem solving and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems

  • Ensure production reliability by responding quickly to breakdowns and faults

  • Perform calibration checks and portable appliance testing (PAT)

  • Support process improvements, machinery upgrades, and new equipment installations

  • Identify and recommend improvements to plant, machinery, and systems to boost safety, quality, and efficiency

  • Work safely at all times, adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards

We'd ideally like you to have the following experience but can be flexible depending on industry experience:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering with a Level 3 Electrical qualification

  • Proven experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, inverters, and PLCs

  • Experience in automated process environments desirable

  • Familiarity with PAT testing, LOLER, and functional safety standards is an advantage

Working shift pattern for this role is a 28-day cycle – 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off (rotating between days and nights)
