Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge? The role of Maintenance Engineer is varied, hands-on, and rewarding. You’ll work across planned preventative maintenance, urgent breakdowns, and improvement projects, covering a wide range of systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and automated machinery. This is an excellent opening for a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys problem solving and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing:

Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems

Ensure production reliability by responding quickly to breakdowns and faults

Perform calibration checks and portable appliance testing (PAT)

Support process improvements, machinery upgrades, and new equipment installations

Identify and recommend improvements to plant, machinery, and systems to boost safety, quality, and efficiency

Work safely at all times, adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards
We'd ideally like you to have the following experience but can be flexible depending on industry experience:

Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering with a Level 3 Electrical qualification

Proven experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance

Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, inverters, and PLCs

Experience in automated process environments desirable

Familiarity with PAT testing, LOLER, and functional safety standards is an advantage
Working shift pattern for this role is a 28-day cycle – 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off (rotating between days and nights)
