Quality Technician - Precision Machining and Fabrication

Salary/Rate: circa £30,000 + benefits

A key client of mine has created a new role for a Quality Technician/Engineer after sustained growth.

THE ROLE

As Quality Technician you will be part of a dedicated Quality team and will be responsible for inspection of products throughout the production process and on finished products. You will an experience Quality Technician and will focused on dealing with non-conformances and investigating root cause and working with the production and engineering teams to train out the new procedures

You will be responsible for:

* Reacting to all internal and external non-conformances

* Investigation of non-conformances using recognised problem-solving techniques such as 8D

* Liaising with suppliers over non-conforming parts

* Training out corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)

* Working with the Engineering team to introduce new products into full production using recognised NPI methodology such as PPAP.

THE PERSON

As part of the Quality team this role is suited to someone who works well as part of a team. This role is suited to either an experienced Quality Inspector with problem solving skills looking to develop into a Quality Engineer or an experience Quality Engineer who wants to focus on the hands on problem solving element of the role.

As the business is a machining and fabrication business, experience of metal work is essential.
