Early Years Practitioner | Ages 3-5 Years | Muckalee, Co. Kilkenny, R95YR26| Full Time 35/40 hours per week| €13.00-€15.50 per hour depending on qualifications

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Minimum level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, with level 7/8 being advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, demonstrating initiative and creativity
  • Proficiency in working with the Aistear curriculum and a good working knowledge of Aistear and Siolta Frameworks
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English, with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Genuine enthusiasm and passion for working with young children, coupled with a caring and compassionate demeanour
  • Previous experience working with children in this age group, with the confidence to communicate effectively with parents
  • Garda vetting is essential for this role
  • An excellent work ethic and a positive attitude towards Early Years Education

What will your role look like?

  • Undertake curriculum planning and implement age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors, to stimulate children's learning and development
  • Daily cleaning of toys and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for children to thrive
