Job Title: Maths Teacher (SEMH Provision)

We are seeking a committed and resilient Maths Teacher to join our specialist SEMH provision from January for a two-term placement. You will teach Maths to students aged 11-16, supporting them up to GCSE level. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs. ECTs are welcome to apply.

• Deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons for SEMH students (KS3-KS4).

• Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning, behavioural, and emotional needs.

• Build strong, trusting relationships to support regulation and positive behaviour.

• Work collaboratively with the SEN/SEMH team, pastoral leads, and support staff.

• Track progress, maintain records, and contribute to personalised learning plans.

• Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.

• Strong subject knowledge in Maths (to GCSE level).

• Experience working with SEMH pupils, or in PRU/alternative provision settings.

• Ability to manage behaviour using trauma-informed and relational approaches.

• Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping vulnerable learners succeed.

• QTS/QTLS is welcomed but not essential.

• ECTs encouraged to apply.

• Experience delivering GCSE Maths or functional skills.

• Understanding of SEND frameworks and SEMH strategies.
