ROLE: Finance Assistant
LOCATION: London - Hybrid - 3 days per week in our London Head Office
SALARY: £36 - £40k
We have an exciting opportunity within our MHDV Finance team, for a Finance Assistant to join us and support the UK Hotels and head office on all matters relating to accounts receivable, bank clearing, payment gateway reconciliation, month end preparation and related tasks.
With 37 Hotels within the Malmaison, and Hotel Du Vin brands, there will be a variety of projects to undertake, and opportunities to grow and develop your career within the exciting world of hospitality.
About the Role
As Finance Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Carry out daily reconciliations of bank incoming and bank outgoing across the UK Hotels in SAP.
- Assist in posting incoming receipts against AR accounts in PMS system and SAP and reconciling customer accounts.
- Assist properties & head office with credit control and issuing regular statements.
- Take minutes of credit review meetings.
- Bank clearing in SAP of AR transactions interfaced from PMS and other incoming items.
- Reconcile AP payments against bank outgoing and post direct debit payments to vendor account for AP clerks to clear.
- Reconcile payment gateway receipts and oversight of chargebacks
- Co-ordinate deposit refunds for long stay guests with supporting documentation
- Daily interface of revenue and bank statements to SAP
- Updating cashbooks for UK bank accounts
- Conducting inventory counts & reporting
- Supporting Management Accountants with month end preparation
- Reporting to hotels & central finance team on status of processing and responding to queries
