Earthworks Supervisor - Major Infrastructure Project

We are seeking an experienced Earthworks Supervisor to join a leading civil engineering and earthmoving contractor on a flagship UK infrastructure project - the Lower Thames Crossing.

📍 Location: Pilgrims Lane, South Ockendon, Essex, RM15 6RW

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile project with a well-established contractor known for delivering large-scale earthworks, remediation, and infrastructure schemes across the UK. With decades of experience, they are recognised for their technical expertise, modern fleet, and commitment to safety and quality.

The Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day earthworks operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. You'll coordinate site teams, manage plant and resources, and maintain high standards of compliance across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise all earthworks activities on site

* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations

* Coordinate plant, labour, and materials

* Monitor progress and report to site management

* Maintain quality control and ensure works meet specifications

Requirements:

* Valid CSCS Gold Card (Supervisory)

* Strong background in earthworks on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects

* Proven experience supervising site teams and heavy plant operations

* Excellent understanding of health & safety procedures

* Strong leadership and communication skills
