Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - High Peak Area

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a specialist educational setting in the High Peak area to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional support to manage their behaviour and engage positively with learning.

The Role:

• Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Implementing behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
• Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
• Building strong, positive relationships with students to encourage progress and confidence

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (school-based or alternative settings)
• A calm, patient, and consistent approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
• Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
