Our client-an established, respected ecological consultancy-is seeking a motivated Senior Ecologist to join their thriving Cambridge team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ecologist ready to take on greater influence, autonomy, and impact in a region full of biodiversity and development opportunities.

What you'll be doing:

Leading and coordinating ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and technical reporting

Managing project delivery, budgets, and client relationships

Designing and overseeing protected species survey programmes

Providing expert ecological advice to clients, planners, and multi-disciplinary teams

Mentoring and developing junior ecologists

Supporting protected species licence applications and mitigation strategies

Contributing to biodiversity net gain planning and implementation

What we're looking for:

Proven consultancy ecology experience at senior level

Strong technical knowledge and report-writing skills

Confident project management and client liaison abilities

Protected species licences and CIEEM membership (or working toward) highly desirable

Excellent communication skills

Full UK driving licence
