Up to £65,000 | Stockport | Hybrid (4 days office / 1 day WFH)

We’re looking for a commercially focused Financial Controller to partner closely with the CFO and lead the Group Finance function during an exciting phase of growth.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll take ownership of group reporting, cash flow forecasting and financial controls — while driving improvements that make the finance function faster, smarter and more insightful.

• Deliver accurate, timely consolidated management accounts and Board packs
• Provide clear, value-added performance analysis with meaningful variance commentary
• Own group cash flow forecasting and reporting
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, developing integrated financial models
• Oversee the annual audit and ensure strong financial governance
• Partner with UK and overseas Finance Managers to ensure consistent, high-quality reporting
• Standardise and enhance group-wide controls and reporting processes
• Ensure robust balance sheet reconciliations and ledger integrity
• Manage the credit control team to optimise cash collection
• Review payment runs and expenditure approvals
• Develop reporting capabilities (including Business Objects)
• Coach and develop the finance team, embedding a culture of continuous improvement
• Support Sales, Operations and senior leadership with commercial insight

• CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualified
• Strong technical grounding with proven financial control experience
• Experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment (international exposure advantageous)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Hands-on, detail-driven and comfortable meeting tight deadlines
• Proactive, collaborative and improvement-focused
