Salary: £400 - £480 per day

A Business Intelligence Developer is required for our client based in Greater Manchester, for a 3-month contract. Working remotely, however you will need to attend site on the first day to pick up your IT equipment.

This role will be placed in our clients Children's Services Team of the Intelligence Unit.

The role will be predominately working of the development of individual and Team Level reports and dashboards for the Children's Service's workforce. Knowledge of children's services processes end to end is therefore critical. Experience of using Liquid Logic, which is their case management system, is highly beneficial.

The role will involve using your SQL skills to navigate the data warehouse to build team level dashboards in Power bi to enable social workers, front line managers and senior leaders to understand their team/service level activity to improve performance.

You will be required to work with the Service and other analysts in the team to scope out the requirements and document these. You will also be required to work with colleagues in I.T to ensure that the information required for reporting is in the data warehouse, so ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders is crucial.

It's really important that your work is sustainable and that the wider team is able to replicate the work, so technical specifications of your work will be a key requirement.

There will also be a requirement for the candidate to work as part of the team, and there would be an expectation of skills transfers and training for the permanent team to ensure that we understand the products that have been developed.

Experience/skills required;

  • Knowledge of children's services / social care data
  • Experience of using Liquid Logic, which is their case management system, is highly beneficial.
  • The ability to produce engaging research and information products (incorporating data visualisation techniques using software such as Power BI) tailored to the needs of different audiences.
  • The ability to act as a dynamic, forward-thinking and enthusiastic individual thinking strategically and taking an innovative and creative approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to ask the right questions, break down problems and come up with innovative solutions.
