Financial Accountant (Temporary)

• Location: Central London (Hybrid working – 3 days in the office)

• Daily Rate: £300 - £400 per day (depending on experience & years post qualified)

We are seeking a Contract Financial Accountant to join a leading and growing global real estate firm based in London on an initial 4–5-month temporary contract.

This position involves supporting on financial reporting and accounting, ensuring compliance and regulatory reporting, and assisting with internal controls and risk management for operations across the UK and Europe.

This role does require someone who can start immediately within the next 1-2 weeks.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Partner with stakeholders within and outside finance functions locally and overseas to ensure timely delivery of financial accounts.
• Review monthly local reporting packs, bank reconciliation, and statutory financial statements.
• Support Finance Manager in the preparation of year-end audit schedules and reporting packs and help to coordinate internal and external audits.
• Assist with financial forecasting, budgets, and ad hoc financial reports.
• Liaise with external auditors for statutory audits and prepare regulatory filings such as VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and other local taxes.
• Monitor compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an audit/accounting environment, preferably within the real estate sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with European real estate markets, offshore corporate structures, valuation methodologies, and asset management, would be highly advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
