A Quality Officer is required to join an exciting, market-leading company in the brewing, food and drinks industry. Vacancy has arisen due to previous person leaving due to illness. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly competent quality advocate who is seeking a role where they can bring and build on their existing expertise. This is a standalone position and would suit someone with in-depth knowledge of ISO methods with a keen eye for detail. You will be a key member of the team, reporting directly to the General Manager and responsible for a wide variety of quality auditing and procedures. You will have 100% commitment and appetite to work in a small company environment and can hit the ground running while demonstrating strong communication skills both written and verbal. Background You ideally should have some knowledge of science. This quality role is in a manufacturing area within laboratories. Role scope In this Quality position you will be responsible for: Manage and support the HACCP plan The development, re-writing and updating all aspects of the company’s Quality Management System Ensure that products are manufactured to Customer, Company and Legal requirements Communicate effectively with internal and external customers as well as suppliers and production teams to ensure that Technical and Quality needs of the business are met. Root cause analysis and corrective actions. Key responsibilities Maintain and develop certification Support and develop the systems and processes required to maintain ISO 9001 Support and develop the systems and processes required to maintain ISO 17025 accreditation Support and develop the systems and processes required maintain pharma-GMP compliance Identify other certification / accreditations that would be beneficial to our business Maintaining quality and continuous improvement Deliver the QA plan, identify issues requiring improvement and potential themes, identify relevant corrective actions required and track through to completion Act as a catalyst for improvements in performance/ quality Ensure the quality system is proactively updated to reflect enhancements and improvements that are agreed from time to time Internal and external audits Proactively audit all areas of the business Direct changes and recommendations resulting from internal and external audits Assist, prepare and deliver documents / presentations for audits from customers and accreditation bodies Identify training needs on a team and individual level and implement ad hoc and periodic training to ensure team quality and safety Maintaining and enhancing product quality Keep up to date with all legislative requirements that relate to products supplied to customers Act as a gatekeeper relating to all incoming deliveries to ensure that only components of suitable quality are used in manufacture of our products Ensure that all finished products released to customers comply with our specifications
