Your new companyHays are working exclusively with a leading organisation seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, proactive credit professional who can quickly add value and support the business through a busy period.Your new roleAs the Interim Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts and ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices. Key duties include:

• Proactive collection of overdue debt via phone and email
• Managing and resolving customer queries efficiently
• Allocating payments and reconciling accounts
• Monitoring aged debt and preparing reports for management
• Supporting month-end activities within the credit control function
• Building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
• Excellent attention to detail and time-management
• Experience with finance/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage) is desirable
