Senior Production Manager

Location: StockportHours: 8am–4pm, Monday–Friday (flexibility required)Salary: 45000

Our client, a fast-growing manufacturing business, is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead all production and operational activity across their manufacturing and warehouse facility. This is a key leadership role focused on efficiency, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

The Role

• Lead daily production operations, ensuring targets, quality standards, and efficiency levels are consistently achieved.
• Oversee multi-shift manufacturing, ensuring smooth handovers and effective communication.
• Support the transition to Microsoft Business Central across production teams.
• Maintain high standards of documentation, quality assurance, and product presentation.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, performance, and staff capability.
• Manage staffing levels, training, recruitment, and succession planning.
• Monitor machine performance, resolve breakdowns, and work closely with Engineering.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.
• Produce regular operational reports and monitor KPIs including output, yield, downtime, and quality.

• Proven experience in a senior production or manufacturing leadership role.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent understanding of production processes, machinery, and efficiency improvement.
• Confident in managing multi-shift operations and fast-paced environments.
• Committed to high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
• Analytical mindset with experience reporting on KPIs and operational performance.
