CCI has a Client who is seeking a Candidate to provide an assessment of its current voice telecommunication environment and various options available in the design and implementation of a forward-looking Unified Communications solution. Candidate should provide services related to the replacement of telecommunications system. This effort is part of a long-term strategy to ensure Client selects a cost- effective telecommunications technology solution that will meet the long-term needs of the school system.
Background. Client currently has two types of phone systems: administrative and classroom.
Administrative: The Administrative system is built using the Nortel Norstar key system that comprises 74 standalone administrative phone systems in operation working behind Verizon Centrex services. Most of these systems have their own voicemail.
Classroom: The Classroom telephone and paging system is built using Telecenter 5 and Telecenter 21 services that comprises 77 standalone systems.
The Contractor (consultant) shall demonstrate to Client stakeholders that they have a clear understanding of Client’s current telecommunications environment, its supporting infrastructure, and systems that are, or may be, integrated with it.
Specific options that are available to be considered by Cient
The Contractor may recommend multiple solutions. Identify specific advantages and disadvantages of each solution.
The Contractor’s recommended Telecommunication Solution(s) shall have the ability to integrate with existing and future paging, bell, security, fire alarm, and monitoring systems.
The Contractor’s recommended Telecommunication Solution(s) shall include a projected multi-year financial Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis. This shall include, at a minimum, the following costs: hardware, software, maintenance, installation, telecom services, contract services, repair services, and support. Include an Excel spreadsheet.
The Contractor shall provide architectural design documents that specifically support the proposed solution(s).
The Contractor shall present the requirements identified above to multiple stakeholders both technical and non-technical. All questions and concerns, verbal or in writing, shall be documented and answered in writing to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
- Has experience in providing telecommunications subject matter expertise and fiscal analysis to medium-sized organizations in the public sector.
- Conducts activities and methodologies in accordance with industry best practices.
- Candidate should have Experience in providing assessment of voice telecommunication environment
- Candidate should have Experience in providing services related to the replacement of telecommunications system
- Candidate should have Experience with financial Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
