Civil Infrastructure Engineer - Glasgow

About the Role We are looking for a motivated Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Glasgow. In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and public realm improvements. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable infrastructure solutions for both public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities of this Civil Engineer role:

  • Design and deliver civil infrastructure projects from concept through to construction
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Undertake drainage design and highway design using industry-standard software
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
  • Support project planning, cost estimation, and programme management
  • Ensure projects comply with relevant UK standards and regulations
  • Provide technical support to junior engineers and technicians where required

Requirements of this Civil Engineer role:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • 2-5+ years' experience in civil or infrastructure engineering
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure design software (e.g., Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of UK design standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Progress toward chartership (ICE or similar) is desirable
