Are you a nurturing and resilient educator with a passion for inclusive practice? A forward-thinking and well-resourced school in Aylesbury is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their supportive team this September.

The Opportunity

This is your chance to be a changemaker. As an SEN teacher, you'll deliver tailored, trauma-informed learning that builds confidence, celebrates diversity, and empowers each child to reach their full potential. You'll work in a setting that values relationship-based approaches, emotional literacy, and collaborative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver adaptive, multi-sensory teaching that meets the needs of learners with a range of additional needs (including ASD, SEMH, and MLD)

Create a safe, predictable learning environment rooted in relational and restorative practice

Develop individualised learning plans in line with EHCPs and track small-step progress

Use strategies that support self-regulation, communication, and independence

Work closely with LSAs, therapists, SENCOs, and families to provide joined-up, wraparound support

Promote emotional wellbeing and resilience as part of a whole-child approach

Maintain the highest standards in safeguarding, professional conduct, and SEND compliance

What We're Looking For

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Experience working in SEN settings or with children with additional needs

Deep understanding of inclusive pedagogy and barrier-free learning

Confident in using visual supports, sensory tools, and assistive technology

Emotionally intelligent, calm under pressure, and skilled in de-escalation techniques

Committed to continuous development and building strong professional relationships
