We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our client based in Telford . The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machinery to fabricate high-quality components from sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Laser Operator will play a crucial part in ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

* Operate laser cutting machines to produce precision parts from sheet metal.

* Interpret and follow engineering drawings and specifications.

* Assemble components as per production requirements.

* Perform basic maths calculations to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.

* Maintain and troubleshoot machinery, ensuring optimal performance.

* Use hand tools and tooling equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks.

* Grind and finish parts as necessary to meet quality standards.

* Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues.

* Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role of, CNC Laser Setter / Operator, you must have the following skills/experience:

* Be conversant with Engineering Drawings.

* Ability to set and Operate a CNC Laser with automation, preferably Amada

* Experience using Amada machines an advantage.

* Counterbalance FLT Licence.

Working hours:

Monday - Wednesday - 4:30pm - 3:00am
Thursday 4:30pm - 2:00am
