Looking to take on a Deputy Manager role? Prime Appointments are looking for an experienced candidate to support the Registered Manager in the day to day management and administration responsibilities for a group of identified services within an Elderly, Dementia and Nursing facility in Colchester

About the service:

Located in central Colchester
The post requires the holder to do varying shifts, which include early and late shifts.
The post holder is required to work weekends as part of a rota and bank holidays when required.

Full timeEssential requirements:

A DBS application will be made as part of the recruitment process.
Health & Social Care NVQ 3 or above.
Relevant legislation e.g. valuing people, mental capacity act, deprivation of liberty, Health & Safety.
Ability to communicate to range of people using different communication methods.
Able to work flexibly, e.g. - working a weekend rota with other managers.
2 years recent and significant experience
Working in partnership with other professionals e.g. health, local authority, CQC.
Experience of managing an effective team
Ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with individual's being supported, their carers and professional colleagues.Duties of the role:

Implementing/monitoring and contributing to joint initiatives as required e.g. Person-Centred Plans, Health Action Plans.
To provide a needs led service to adults by adopting a person centred approach that fosters self awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices.
Ensure the service meets H&S regulations and guidance.
Support people to express their individuality and uniqueness in all areas of life.
Ensure staff team completes H&S training as required.
To undertake ongoing continued professional development.
Maintaining close contact with families/carers as appropriate, with the consent of the individuals being supported in the service.
To ensure all aspects of the Management of the Service meet with the National Care Standards Act 2000 and the requirements of CQC, together with all other relative legislative requirements.
Utilising support services as required, such as Advocacy.
To uphold the values and ethos of the Company.
Celebrate and share success with service users, colleagues and partners
