Job Title: 2nd Line IT Engineer
Location: Ashton, Manchester
Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 (DOE)
Work Structure: Hybrid (3/2) after probation

We're working with a growing business based in Ashton, Manchester, that's looking to strengthen its internal IT team with the addition of a 2nd Line IT Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled support professional who enjoys working across a broad range of systems and applications. As part of a close-knit in-house IT team, you'll provide hands-on support to colleagues across the business, helping to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 2nd line support to internal users across multiple departments
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
Escalate complex problems to the senior IT team when necessary
Support system upgrades, rollouts, and ongoing improvement projects
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of incidents and resolutions
What We're Looking For:

Solid experience in a 2nd line support role within an internal IT environment
Strong understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365
Good working knowledge of networking principles (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
Familiarity with virtualisation (VMware or Hyper-V) and backup solutions
Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude
