Introduction

As an Investment Strategy Manager, you play a pivotal role within a dynamic and forward-thinking Investment Strategy team. Your influence extends across the design, management, and ongoing support of customer-centric Investment Fund propositions. Leveraging industry expertise and strategic insight, you ensure that every initiative aligns with the overarching Product Strategy while meeting the highest standards of governance and performance.

Core Responsibilities

• Designing and Managing Fund Propositions: You will be at the forefront of designing and managing the customer fund and investment proposition, collaborating closely with key stakeholders such as the Head of Investment Strategy, Group Strategic Product Manager, Senior Investment Product Manager, Group Strategy, and Group Marketing.
• Project Management of Fund Changes: You oversee the successful execution of future fund proposition changes, including the launch and closure of funds, ensuring each transition is seamless and strategically sound.
• Governance and Regulatory Oversight: Your remit includes overseeing the management of critical governing documents such as Statements of Investment Principles (including Strategic Asset Allocation), Asset Owner Investment Beliefs, and ESG policy. You ensure compliance with regulatory expectations and best practices.
• Fund Lifecycle Management: From fund launch through to ongoing life-cycle management, you maintain robust governance and performance monitoring, ensuring each product delivers sustained value to customers and stakeholders.
• Customer Documentation Management: You are responsible for the production and review of all customer-facing fund documentation, such as Fund Factsheets, KIID reviews, Prospectus reviews, and Assessment of Value (AoV) reports.
• Performance Review and Monitoring: Post-launch, you rigorously review fund performance and monitor outcomes, ensuring that the benefits promised to customers are realised and measured.
• Supporting Fund Distribution: By working closely with tied advisors and Marketing teams, you contribute to the distribution of funds, supporting business objectives through proposals and campaigns that increase market reach.
• Regulatory and Legislative Awareness: You continually develop and apply a deep knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements, ensuring that all product activity remains compliant and forward-looking.
• Team Leadership: As a line manager, you will mentor and guide one staff member, fostering their development and supporting the team’s collective success.

Desired Experience and Expertise

• Fund Propositions, Governance, and Asset Ownership: Solid experience in designing and managing fund propositions, underpinned by a strong understanding of governance frameworks and asset ownership.
• Product Management: Demonstrated experience in product management, particularly within investment and fund solutions, with an ability to innovate and optimise offerings.
• Market and Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the investment and platform market, customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging regulatory trends.
• Governance Leadership: Proven track record of upholding successful fund and investment governance, ensuring compliance and best practice throughout the product lifecycle.

Salary: £70,000
