School Business Manager - Full Time
Location: Manchester (M40)
Pay: £22-£30 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, ongoing

We are currently recruiting for a School Business Manager to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Manchester (M40) area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced school business professional who can take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school's financial, administrative, and operational functions. You will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to support the smooth running of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the school budget, financial planning, and reporting

Manage HR processes including recruitment, payroll, and staff records

Supervise office and premises staff, ensuring efficient site operations

Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and health & safety policies

Liaise with external agencies and local authority services as needed

Requirements:

Previous experience as a School Business Manager or similar role within an educational setting

Strong knowledge of financial systems and school compliance procedures

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

Proficient in school-specific systems such as SIMS, FMS, or similar
