North East Lincolnshire Children's services are seeking to recruit an Initial Point of Contact Worker to work with young people who are at the start of their journey with social care. The role will be based from the council building in Grimsby and you will need to be in the office full time Monday-Friday. You will be responsible for taking all calls which relate to children who are not open to Children's Social Care, or Family Help, but who members of the public, or professionals may have worries about. This is a full time position with an initial contract of 3 months with a view to this being extended on a rolling basis and offering a pay rate of £18.14 per hour. 
Duties of the role:

Answering calls, using a strength based approached, asking the appropriate questions, to gather high quality, clear and concise information about children.
Inputting information from the call straight into Liquid logic and determine if this is a request for Family Help, or if there are presenting safeguarding concerns.
Carry out multi-agency checks, which will then lead to an analysis of what this means for the child and a create a plan of support.
Responsible for raising any safeguarding concerns with a social worker to ensure a full review takes place.The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of working with young people and their families
Confident in having difficult conversations with professionals and members of the public
Enhanced DBS check
