* Hourly Rate: £13.40 per hour

* Location: Huddersfield

* Hours per week: 48 hours per week (paid breaks!)

* Shifts: 8pm-8am

Xealthcares client's well-established, medium-sized nursing home in Huddersfield is seeking a passionate Senior Care Assistant to join their team on a permanent full-time contract.

About the role:

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents. You will support the nursing team, lead by example, and mentor junior staff to ensure the highest standards of care and well-being for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities

* Administering medication in line with policies and training (where applicable)

* Supporting the nursing team with clinical tasks and record-keeping

* Leading and mentoring junior care staff to ensure best practices are followed

* Ensuring dignity, respect, and a compassionate approach at all times

Requirements:

* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Essential)

* Previous experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in a nursing home

* Strong communication and leadership skills

* A caring and compassionate nature with a commitment to delivering high standards of care
