GSL Education are working with lovely, friendly and progressive schools in South Ockendon to recruit various SEN Support Roles to work across all the key stages, supporting children diagnosed with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).  

Position: Learning Support Assistant 
Location:  South Ockendon 
Salary Scale: £85-£115 
Contract Type: Full-time

SEN Needs: Autism, ADHD, Down's Syndrome and  Learning Difficulties 

SEMH Needs: Anxiety, Depression and Trauma 

Applications for the position are welcome from candidates of ranging experience although previous experience working with students with SEN Support is an advantage due to the nature of the role. 

If you are a future/aspiring SEN Support, LSA or an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant this opportunity could be ideal for you. In addition, if you have experience as a Youth Worker, Support Worker or SEN Support and you are interested in education, please do apply! 

You will need to: 

Have experience working with children 

Be confident at managing children with SEN Needs 

Be able to demonstrate your ability to build professional relationships with students 

Have a fun but firm presence 

Have an interest in education 

Have a passion for SEND and/or SEMH
